What are the advantages of a centrifuge for refilling printer cartridges?

A centrifuge is an indispensable tool / tool to ensure a high and reliable quality of your daily work when filling printer cartridges.

On the one hand, it is of great advantage if cartridges intended for refilling are prepared in order to facilitate filling and to achieve an optimum filling result. On the other hand, printer cartridges can be reworked after filling by means of the centrifuge.

Remove residual ink:

Printer cartridges are usually never printed completely empty. Thus, a cartridge that is reported as empty by the printer still contains a small amount of residual ink. It is important to remove this ink so that there is no mixing between the old residual ink and the new refill ink.

Before refilling, insert the ink cartridge with the print head facing outward into the cartridge holder inside the centrifuge and centrifuge the cartridge for about 2 minutes. The residual ink remaining in the cartridge is reliably pressed out of the cartridge by the centrifugal force acting in the direction of the print head.

Getting clogged printheads free

Long idle periods of the printer or storage of an empty cartridge without appropriate protection of the printhead can lead to clogging or drying of the nozzles in the printhead.

Remove this contamination by filling a suitable cleaner into the cartridge / printhead to loosen the blockages and deposits on site. After a short soak time, you can safely and thoroughly remove this cleaning fluid / rinse solution by inserting the ink cartridge into the cartridge holder in the centrifuge and then centrifuging.

Rinse stuck ink sponge

The ink sponge in cartridges dries up during long periods of printer downtime or insufficiently protected storage of the empty cartridge body. In addition, the capillary action of the ink sponge also wears off during the life cycle of a cartridge, as the sponge always dries up a little where there is no ink left in the cartridge.

For cleaning, apply a suitable rinsing liquid to the ink sponge. Only cleaning solutions without ammonia additives are suitable, as the ammonia destroys the ink sponge.

Remove the special cleaner for internal cartridge cleaning from the cartridge with the centrifuge after a short exposure time. The cleaner still achieves an additional cleaning effect in the printhead when the centrifugal forces push it out of the ink cartridge through the printhead.
