To refill the Brother BT-5000, BT-6000 printer inks, open the cover on the right in front of the ink tanks on your printer. This gives you access to the ink tank caps. Each tank is closed with a rubber stopper. Pull off the respective rubber stopper and the tank to be filled is open (see picture 2).
We recommend refilling Brother BT-5000, BT-6000 compatible ink using the original Brother ink bottles if you cannot fill it with a syringe with a cannula. This procedure is the only way to fill the ink tank printers, it is the only way to do it and it is also more precise and safer in terms of cleanliness when filling. Pour the desired ink color into the respective, correct original bottle and fill the ink into the ink tank (see picture 3) - always use the color of the cap on the ink tank as a guide - this way you can be sure that you are actually filling the right ink color into the right ink tank. To ensure the correct filling quantity, always keep an eye on the viewing window of the ink tank on the printer. This makes it easy to see the fill level and you can avoid overfilling the tank. Always refill ink in good time. This prevents air bubbles from getting into the ink lines connected to the tanks. It is very time-consuming to remove these air pockets from the lines. At the same time, these air pockets can cause damage to the print heads of the connected cartridges.
