Canon PG-585, CL-586 ink cartridges with integrated print head
The Canon PG-585 and CL-586 cartridge models are elaborately equipped with a built-in print head - this has advantages, but makes the cartridges quite expensive to purchase. The cartridges are refillable - we recommend multiple use of the PG-585 and CL-586 ink cartridges - this saves you money and prevents unnecessary waste.
Both the black and the colour cartridges are available in two sizes - STANDARD yield or XL yield. For refilling, we recommend buying original Canon PG-585 and CL-586 ink cartridges standard size. This cartridge variant has a lower price compared to the XL versiom. As it may happen that a new original cartridge should be purchased from time to time, the standard size is the better decision from a budget point of view.
