Simple refill tutorial for Addmaster 97091 cartridges
Addmaster 97091 ink cartridges are used for bank receipt printers and medical form printers like Addmaster IJ7200 and IJ7202. Addmaster printers are specialized for the use in pharmacies, medical offices and banks. Refilling these expensive cartridges with a rather low yield of 402 pages adds a huge economic aspect to your running costs. The absolut simple refilling method makes this alternative to original or non-OEM cartridges even more worth considering.
Four easy steps: How to refill Addmaster 97091 cartridges
Picture 1: Each ink cartridge is outfitted with an air ventilation hole. To refill the cartridge we simply enlarge that hole with an heated syringe needle or similar metal pin. Try not to use a small drill to avoid plastic shards inside the cartridge.
Picture 2: Fill the syringe with 10 ml ink suitable for that cartridge. Do not use other ink types or universal ink. Insert the syringe vertically through the ventilation opening. Upon the insertion you will feel a little resistance caused by the internal cartridge ink sponge. Insert the needle until you hit the bottom of the cartridge.
Picture 3: Insert the ink slowly and simultaneously pull the needle slowly upwards. If ink is coming out of the ventilation and refill opening, the cartridge is filled to its maximum. If the printhead on the bottom side of the cartridge is leaking ink, you have to remove 1 ml ink.
Picture 4: The cartridge is now filled and needs to be checked if it is already ready for use in your Addmaster IJ 7200 or IJ 7202 . To do so simply pull cartridges printhead slowly and gentle over an folded sheet of kitchen roll. If the ink has saturated the printhead you will see create an black ink line on the paper. If the printhead is still blocked by air, gently tap the cartridge on the paper or blow a little bit of air into the refill hole.
