Refill instruction for cartridge Lexmark 100 A, 100XLA:

For refilling you need the following tools:

4 refill adapters (1 piece per colour)
4 refill syringes
3 x 3ml (7ml XLA) color ink, 10ml (14ml XLA) black ink
paper towel or newspaper as underlay

Preparation for refilling:

Attention:
Please check that this cartridge is an "A" - cartridge, because only "A" - cartrdiges can be refilled (100A, 100 XLA, 108A, 108XLA).

The cartridges 100, 100XL, 108, 108XL cannot be refilled.

Insert the cartridge into the refill adapter (pict. 1). Please make sure that the cartridge locks in completely with a click (pict. 2). When the cartridge doesn´t lock in completely, it may appen, that ink is coming out during the refill process. Remove the cover of the ink chamber of the colour you want to refill now.

Filling of cartridge Lexmark 100A, 100XLA, 108A, 108XLA with refill adapter:

Connect the outlet opening of the ink container with the ink inlet opening of the refill adapter (pict. 3). Fill in the ink slowly (about 10 seconds) into the color cartridges (3 ml)(7 ml XLA) and 10 ml into the black cartridge (14 ml XLA). The given amounts refer to a completely empty cartridge. When you´ve filled in too much ink, it may be that some ink comes out of the refill adapter. In this case, you can pour out the ink with the refill syringe.

When you´ve refilled the cartridge, put the refill adapter including cartridge on a piece of paper towel.Take the cartridge out of the refill adapter and leave it for the moment. Remove the ink container from the refill adapter and close it with the cover again (pict. 4). Pat the cartridge carefully and remove the surplus ink from the cartridge. Clean the refill adapter, so you can reuse it (pict. 5).

Lexmark 100A, 100XLA, 108A, 108XLA take out

After refilling cartridge Lexmark 100A, 100XLA, 108A, 108XLA:

Reinsert the cartridge into your printer and start the cleaning process trough the printer setup (pict. 6).

Attention:
When the display of the printer shows the message: "Durability of the cartridge has exceeded", you have to press "Continue" two times. The ink filling level is now permanently deactivated. Fill the cartridge immediately when the printing quality gets worse or when you can see optically, that the cartridge is empty. In case you continue printing with an empty cartridge, the print head gets damaged.
