What is Resin Ink?
Create three-dimensional art works
Resin art is a special technique from fluid painting in which epoxy resin, a 2-component system of resin and hardener, is dyed with colours. With the help of resin inks, the epoxy resin can be coloured in all the colours of the rainbow. The liquid epoxy resin is poured into moulds, for example, and hardens into a rock-hard, glass-like lacquer structure. You can add the Resin Inks after you have poured the resin into the mould or you can make plain coloured resins before pouring. Depending on how liquid or solid your epoxy resin is, the alcohol colour will spread. You can achieve interesting effects by adding several colours together or next to each other. With a thin wooden stick you can now bring some movement into the colours. Or you can work in different layers: Let one coloured layer dry and only then add the next resin layer.
In addition to making decorative items, you can also use it to create pieces of jewellery or entire tabletops. You can even finish finished paintings with Resin Art - and have perfect protection against environmental influences. The possibilities are almost unlimited and the colour effects achieved are breathtaking.
Bring your artistic work to life and create three-dimensional works with the Resin Inks from Octopus Fluids.
How do our resin inks differ from the alcohol inks?
The Octopus Fluids Resin Inks are highly concentrated alcohol inks and have a 5 times higher dye content than our standard alcohol inks. This allows you to achieve intensive colour results without affecting the mixing ratio of the resin and its drying times.
Our new Resin Inks offer even more possibilities when working with resin thanks to a specially developed formula. Excellent handling and flow properties make them suitable for beginners as well as for professional artists. The special colour intensity of our Resin Inks allows precise, economical dosing to achieve even more nuances and effects. With our Resin Inks, no unwanted brownish discolouration occurs after hardening, as can be seen with many Alcohol Inks.
We also offer three special WHITE Resin Inks. These are ideal for creating the popular petri dish effect. With their special properties, the effects can be influenced in a targeted manner and thus enable even more varied, exciting results.
