Octopus Extender: Colorless Ink for Creativity and Flexibility

Use the colorless Octopus Extender fountain pen ink to lighten dark writing colors or to rehydrate dried-out inks, making them usable again.

The Extender contains high-quality raw materials used in our premium writing inks, but without any dyes. This is why the Extender is referred to as colorless fountain pen ink. During development, we extensively tested the Extender by diluting various writing inks and examining them for feathering, bleed-through, and flow properties. The Extender is finely tuned to meet the characteristics of an excellent fountain pen ink.

A significant advantage of the extender over dilution with water is that it maintains the writing properties of the ink. When diluted with water, inks often lose their consistency and flow properties, leading to undesirable writing effects. The extender, on the other hand, ensures that the ink continues to flow smoothly and retains its original Quality.

Please note that mixing different dyes with the Extender can alter its properties in different ways.

The colorless ink can be used to dilute our Octopus inks from the Classic, Pastel, as well as our Write and Draw Inks lines. It is also perfect for our Sheen, Dual Shading, and Glitter writing inks. Especially for our RIMIK (Rainbow Ink Mixing Kit), we recommend using the Octopus Extender as a diluent to achieve lighter color shades. You can also easily stretch inks from other manufacturers with this colorless fountain pen ink.
