Barock writing inks for fountain pens, glass pens and rollerball pens
The Barock ink collection is a reissue of the traditional ink brand Barock, which for decades accompanied all writers in the former GDR with its fountain pen inks. Barock inks were manufactured in Dresden, the capital of Saxony, until 2011. The insolvency of the company initially meant the end of the brand, but not the end of ink production at the Saxon location. Rather, it was the starting signal for the production of the first Octopus fountain pen inks, which reflected the expertise of some former Barock employees.
We are proud to be able to continue this legacy now under the brand name "Barock". The new Barock ink collections complement our classic writing ink range with expressive, well-saturated inks for fountain pens, glass pens and rollerballs. Barock inks are fountain pen inks of the highest quality, combining the tradition of the past with modern writing characteristics. With their excellent ink flow, instant writing and beautiful shading, they offer you a first-class writing experience.
Each Barock ink collection is dedicated to a decade of our century and consists of 6 perfectly matched colors that reflect the spirit of that decade.
Our Barock Ink Collection 1910 pays homage to the Art Nouveau era and skillfully captures the everyday life of people at that time in color: a deep gray Anthrazit recalls the smoke-filled factories and hard work of that time. The umber, jade, and Kaviar hues, on the other hand, tell of the efforts of artists of the era to mimic nature in their works.
Immerse your writing in the splendor of this impressive era and let your words shine in our vibrant colors!
The colors of the Barock 1910 ink collection:
- Anthrazit - The elegant, deep gray takes on the role of classic black in this collection.
- Kaviar - The smoky violet provides an extravagant typeface
- Marine - The classic ink color - A serious blue, sophisticatedly rounded off with a subtle sheen.
- Jade - Named after the blue-green gemstone, this turquoise-colored noble ink shines with its light sheen.
- Bordeaux - Our fountain pen ink in glamorous wine red brings a velvety touch of luxury to paper.
- Umbra - The warm brown writing ink with a natural, woody character.

SUPERB
I purchased samples of each colour of the Barock Inks from FountainFeder.de
They were sent to Ireland and I received them this morning.
They are SUPERB.
The colours are different to anything else on the market and flow exceptionally well. I love Marine and Umbra the best. Jade - even though I don’t normally like green inks - is beautiful. Umbra is perfect with cream-coloured Tomoe River paper. Bordeaux is strangely attractive. Anthrazit is beautiful in a wet nib. Kaviar is nice, but my least favourite.
If you do bring back more Barock inks in the future, please bring out the exact shades from decades ago in DDR times.
You are doing a great job with your inks. Well done and keep going!
Kind regards
