The Octopus Fluids Document Inks are document-proof fountain pen inks which have been specially developed for professional use in the office, especially for signing under official documents and certificates.

Octopus Fluids Document Inks are waterproof, lightfast, smudge-resistant, non-erasable and resistant to ethanol, hydrochloric acid, ammonia, bleach and most other chemicals in accordance with the requirements of DIN ISO standard 12757-2.

The independent institute PTS - Papiertechnische Stiftung Heidenau has tested all 9 inks for the aforementioned properties and certified their compliance according to DIN ISO 12757-2. The inks thus meet the requirements of the Dienstordnung für Notare/Notarinnen (DONot), the requirements of the state ministries of justice, the Bundeshaushaltsordnung, the Dienstanweisung für das Standesamtwesen and the requirements of the Bundesärztekammer in Germany.

They are therefore the ideal inks for notaries, judges, architects, employees in public authorities or for writing important examinations with a fountain pen.

Finest pigments are used for the inking. This gives you a strong typeface. The document inks differ from the Octopus Write and Draw Inks in that they contain less binder. This ensures an optimal ink flow and makes cleaning the fountain pen easier. Nevertheless, even with these inks, drying in the fountain pen should be avoided and the pen should be cleaned thoroughly before prolonged non-use.
